Pago Premium Fruit Juice

Pago Premium Fruit Juice was founded by two Austrian brothers; Jakob and Franz Pagitz in 1888. Pago juice is a well known brand and is a popular drink in Europe. The juices are made of purely natural ingredients and sourced by the best producers. Their first flavours were apple, blackcurrant and redcurrant. Now there’s an extensive range of flavours!

Pago has a range of delicious juices in the UK but unfortunately the juices aren’t sold in supermarkets they are only available in a number of bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels and online.

The UK has a broad range of flavours available including:

  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Cloudy Apple
  • Cloudy Cherry
  • Tomato
  • Multi-vitamin Tropical
  • ACE (Orange, Carrot and Lemon)
  • Pear
  • Peach
  • Strawberry
  • Cranberry
  • Rhubarb & Pear
  • Mango & Passionfruit
  • Grapefruit

We had the pleasure of trying 2 of the flavours, it was a hard decision to make but we decided on the peach and pineapple. We received a generous number of juices so we shared them between our family and friends. The juices were individually bubble wrapped, and came in cute green glass bottles.

We love how environmentally friendly the bottles are; emerald green glass bottles with an eye catching glossy paper sleeve design and an aluminium yellow screw off caps.

It reminded us of our many holiday trips abroad, scorching heat, entering a shop and in front of you a stack of green bottles calling your name – drink me!

We stored them in the fridge to keep them cool, for a sunny day or if you just wanted a refreshing drink. The peach juice was velvety and it felt nostalgic – it reminded us of the peach sliced desserts we use to have at school.

The pineapple juice was tasty too. The flavour was sweet with hints of sharpness, it was also smooth to drink – it is 100% pure fruit juice with no added sugar!  There are other flavours with no added sugar too – orange, cloudy apple, multi vit tropical, and tomato.

After discovering Pago’s many recipes on their website we decided to create some pre drinks for our dinner party, that we had over the bank holiday weekend.

Ingredients:

Ice (2 trays)
Rum
Coconut cream (half the carton depending on how creamy you like it)
Pineapple slices (garnishing optional)
Pago Pineapple juice x2
A blender

Method:

Mix the ingredients together in the blender.

The pineapple juice complimented the cocktail mix, unlocking the tropical flavours of the drink and creating a smooth finish which everyone seemed to enjoy.

Other than drinking it, it could be a food ingredient for cakes to moisten the sponge, jelly, flavouring in icing or a tasty sauce for pancakes!

We will be sure to buy some other juices to try – the mango flavour looks inviting!

  2. Pago sounds like a great fruit juice. I tend to buy juices in glass bottles so I am totally sold that they don’t use plastic. I like that they also share recipes on their site.
