I’m so grateful to have been brought up in two cultures as we get to celebrate both British and Chinese New Year! This year CNY falls on Saturday 25th January. I would like to share some of my favourite Chinese restaurants for you to try if you fancied dining out or getting a take away to celebrate the year of the rat!
Starting with my beloved Loving Hut (Archway) a vegan & vegetarian restaurant that serves dim sum, noodles and ‘duck’ pancake! Their sesame toast is to die for too! If you go you HAVE to try it.
Hakkasan Hanway Place serves some of the most exquisite food I’ve ever eaten but I have to mention that it will make a dent in your wallet – but I think it’s well worth it for a special occasion like this! As families and friends get together and feast! This year Hakkasan is offering a set menu for £88pp shared between 2.
Imperial China located Lisle Street in Central London (just off Chinatown). One of the largest Cantonese Chinese restaurants in the area. The entrance leads you over a small bridge where you can look over to see a carp pond, surrounded by rocky waterfalls. Their food is delicious and I particularly love their Jasmine tea!
Din Tai Fung in Covent Garden is a must for their Shanghai dumplings! (Soup dumplings) Balls of heaven! Meaty and juicy and great to share with families and friends.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my top favourite Chinese restaurants and I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Gong hei fat choy! Happy Chinese New Year to all!!! 祝大家新年快樂 , 身體健康!!!
