This year has been extraordinary! We visited Seoul for the first time, and tried many of their national foods, which you could read all about here.
My other food highlights of this year would be finally ticking off Sushi Samba off my list – it was just as good as people said and truly lived up to my expectations… the flavours were dancing on my tongue, you could read my review via this link.
Hoppers the Sri Lankan Restaurant was also a delight. The Egg Hopper and Seeni Sambol (dip), I absolutely loved the sweet and spicy kick, it really added that extra element to the dish, I also was obsessed with my Aubergine Kari (curry), I think I tried making a replica at home but sadly it didn’t taste as good! The other amazing thing about Hoppers was how inexpensive it was – great food for a great price, what more could you want!
Patty & Buns has to be one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. The one we visited was along James Street, close to Bond Street Station. The meat was cooked to perfection, the chips were tasty too – crispy and fluffy in the middle.
Myself and Claire heard about the Vegan cheese and wine party, at 10 Cable Street through Instagram, we booked in advance as they sell out so quickly. We were surprised by how delicious the cheeses were, our favourite was the baked camembert by Honestly Tasty – it was warm and creamy with an oily truffle flavour – delicious.
Tonkotsu ramen why didn’t we come here sooner?! It has to be one of the best ramen places I’ve been to! The broth is so moreish, and the ramen is cooked to perfection and children eat for free.
Mayfair Garden in Paris – I absolutely adored each course, lentil soup tasty in flavour and the mains – baby spinach curry with pilau rice – garlic naan was delicious too.
I’m looking forward to discovering more tasty eateries in 2020 and sharing with you my thoughts and experiences.
I hope you enjoyed reading my 2019 highlights, Happy New Year everyone! 😊
